I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, low, or worn down by life’s demands. Many arrive with stress from work, school, relationships, family responsibilities, or broader questions about direction and meaning in life. Often, there’s been little room to pause or reflect. Therapy offers space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening.

I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space to slow down and reflect. My role is to walk alongside clients as they explore their experiences, what matters most to them, and how they want to move forward. Sessions are guided by curiosity, openness, and respect for each client’s pace and perspective.

I believe clients are the experts of their own lives. Therapy is not about being told what to do or receiving advice, but about having someone be there with you as you explore your life experiences. If you’re not sure where to begin with therapy or what you need, that’s completely okay—we can take the time to figure it out together. My goal as a therapist is not only to reduce distress but also to help clients feel more present, supported, and happier in their day-to-day lives.

I draw from person-centred therapy, solution-focused therapy (SFBT), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to support clients in managing anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, and life transitions, while also exploring deeper questions related to identity, purpose, and meaning.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, worn down, or questioning yourself, and are looking for a place to reflect and be heard, I offer a free initial consultation. This consultation session provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other, for me to learn more about what’s bringing you to therapy, and to discuss how I can best support you moving forward.

John Sendim is the Clinic Director at Uplift Therapy for Men and a Registered Psychotherapist. He works primarily with men—many of them fathers, partners, and professionals—who are doing a lot on the outside but feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or disconnected on the inside.

John brings a masculinity-centered, relational approach to therapy that respects masculinity while supporting emotional growth, accountability, and self-compassion. His work is grounded in Compassion-Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients develop practical tools while also understanding the deeper emotional patterns shaping their reactions, relationships, and sense of self.

In therapy, John supports men in working through challenges related to anger, anxiety, stress, communication breakdowns, and intimacy. He helps clients slow down, make sense of strong emotions, and respond more intentionally—at home, at work, and in their relationships. Rather than viewing men as broken or in need of fixing, John sees therapy as a space for strengthening emotional awareness, confidence, and relational presence.

John offers a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where men and couples can explore challenges honestly and work toward meaningful, sustainable change. His goal is to help clients feel steadier, more connected, and more aligned with the kind of partner, father, and man they want to be.
